Instructor Bio's

Kathleen Curry
Kathleen Curry is the owner of Hot Body Yoga. Kathleen was trained by Jimmy Barkan www.barkanmethod.com who has trained NFL and NBA athletes and has been featured in Self, Shape, Yoga Journal and Sports Illustrated. She has also trained with Tony Sanchez, Eddie Modestino, and Nicki Doane. Kathleen teaches a style of hatha Yoga originated from a lineage in Calcutta, India that is practiced in a heated room.


Tricia Messenger
Tricia has been practicing yoga since the mid 1990s. Tricia became a certified and registered hot yoga teacher in 2002. Through the years Tricia studied many different types of yoga, including studying with an Aerial and Ashtanga master from Britain. Tricia's teaching style focuses on alignment, breath and lengthening the spine. In addition to her love of yoga, Tricia is an internationally known pastel artist a Reiki practioner.


Connie Lozano
Connie loves yoga. She teaches with an open heart and attention to alignment. She encourages students to connect with their breath, quiet the mind and enjoy exploring each posture. Connie hopes that students will leave her classes uplifted and blissfully aware of the benefits of yoga. She is always amazed and inspired by her students who range from preschoolers, teenage mothers in shelters to adults in their 80’s. She has been blessed to study Vinyasa Yoga with Srivatsa Ramaswami, Kundalini Yoga and Breathwalk with Gurucharan Singh Khalsa, Ph.D. and Hatha yoga with Donna Farhi. She completed her 200hr certification at Yoga Yoga in Austin and is always continuing her education in workshops and seminars.


Chris Romer
Chris began her love of movement with the study of ballet which evolved into athletics. She achieved a Personal Training Certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and Group Fitness certifications from ACE and AFAA. She says "Dance fitness was exciting and fun, but eventually difficult for my joints to tolerate." Then she discovered yoga.

For Chris, yoga is much more than physical fitness. "Yoga is a lifestyle. It is a constant discovery of balance and peace in my life." Chris earned a 500-hour Iyengar style Yoga Certification from the Southern Institute of Yoga Instructors. She has studied with Eric Shiffman, Rodney Yee, Roger Cole and Patricia Sullivan. Chris holds a degree in Journalism from the Ohio State University. She and her husband, Denny, have been married for 27 years and have a daughter and son. The family has just moved here from Nashville, Tennessee.
